Three Day Production Challenge

Ages: 12-18   |   Level: Intermediate-Advanced

The comedic script has been selected. The Director has been chosen. Now it’s up to our students to be performance ready in just three days in this whirlwind workshop! Students will:

• be put through a placement audition process & cast on Day 1 (all students will perform in the show),
• memorize all lines & blocking,
• work on character development,
• work on scene study,
• costume themselves according to their character from materials supplied by CTA & from home,
• and be show-ready (off book) for the performance for friends & family on the final day.

This is a fast-paced workshop where students will be put through the paces of putting together a performance-ready comedic production in just three days (21 hours of class time). Students should be intermediate to advanced level in order to be able to accomplish everything within the time allotted. This will be a race against the clock to the finish. LIMITED SPACES AVAILABLE! 10 students maximum capacity

Lunch & Snacks: Students must bring a healthy lunch each day and two snacks each day. Bring a water bottle with your student’s name on it.

Appearance: Students are required to wear black pants or shorts, a black top, and black dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro. No open-toe shoes, flip-flops, sandals, or crocs. Clothing must be appropriate for dancing/movement. Hair must be pulled back and away from the face.

TUITION: $225.00 (with current annual registration)

ANNUAL REGISTRATION POLICY: All participants must pay an annual registration fee ($20 for one or more students within the same family) to participate in a workshop/camp. Valid from July 1st through June 30th annually.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Minimum of 3 weeks prior to class: Full refund minus the annual registration fee.

• 2 weeks prior to class: Refund minus $75 administrative fee and annual registration fee.

• First day of class or later: No refund.
